Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes
One of our class read aloud books from this year was Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. Each year after we finish the book we fold a paper crane as a class. We have 2 days under our belts! Many more steps to go! Patience, patience, patience is a lesson with this process.
African American History month
We finished our introduction week for African American History Month. We talked about words and phrases "civil rights movement," "good citizens," "segregation," "discrimination," and treating other following by the Golden Rule. Now every few days we will look at a new African American leader from various areas of life and see what made them a "good citizen."
