We earned our first class positive behavior award with our yellow tickets. We selected to get cheese balls for our special snack. It was amazing to see the growth in our short time together. We continue daily to remind ourselves of thinking how we individually can add to our classes respect, responsibility, and safety mission.

Applesauce Comparison
On our MEA short week we studied apples. We made homemade applesauce while learning how to read and work with recipes. We shared this applesauce with our fourth grade buddies and created a venn diagram comparing store bought applesauce with our homemade applesauce! It was a wonderful, fun day when we shared our delicious learning. A special thank you to the family who donated the apples for the applesauce!

iPads Thursday and Friday
This week we had the iPads for Thursday morning and Friday afternoon. Thursday we explored the reading games on the iPads. Friday the students met with Mrs. Wessman's class for choice math time. Students chose board games or iPads. Mrs. Crain impressed the class with her iPad taking over the SMART board. :)
Delta Dental Visit
The first grade team had Delta Dental come and talk to kids about the importance of brushing their teeth and making healthy food choices. The kids loved all the free stuff they scored!
Betsy Lewin Author Visit
Brimhall was lucky to have illustrator Betsy Lewin- author of books such as Click Clack Moo, and Click Clack Quack- into school. The kids were very interested when she was drawing for them.
